Take a look at this Sound is crap but it will explain it to you. Hope it helps

Before changing anything, check that your entry system hasn't been set to "one click - opens driver door only, second click opens the remaining doors". This is a security option so that the passenger doors do not offer carjackers and other criminals an easy entry into the car.

I wonder how you get the 'beep' to work when you lock and unlock the doors? That car in the first video looks to be a 2011 Model year F sport. I have a 2011 Model year SE-L and it doesn't do that

no beep on my 2008 also, it locks and unlocks fine (when i approach with the key the drivers is unlocked first, then all the others unlock).

how do you get a beep.?! the lexus is crazy with all the options

Posted

some of these options are only dealer programmable. Also certain features are only available in specific countries.

I wouldn't mind this beep but I'm guessing it can't be done in the UK then?

Its not set up for uk, doesnt bother me anyway, who needs a beep

folding mirrors is good enough for me for now!

I just tested that it does work and you do get a beep after 10 seconds.

Not sure if it has resolved my issues regarding locking/unlocking the car time will tell

My problem isn't unlocking all four doors when I get in, its when passengers want to get out, and they can't!

Instead of their doors simply opening automatically for them to get out, I have to press the central locking button to release the lock on their doors, unless they know to pull back the lock by the handle.

Is this something I can change myself, or is it a dealer only job?

This morning if i tried unlocking the car from the passenger door handle or the remote key  it wouldn't unlock any of the doors apart from the drivers, I had the same issue last night. I have the same issue when letting passengers out sometime.

What I have done now is swapped my remote key I going to test it with my spare key and see how it goes so far its ok but its a very tempremental thing sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

If that don't work I might just disconnect the Battery over night and see if that helps very adoubt it failing might be a visit to lexus as I see many people are having this issue.
