Missed out on B16 GBN a few years ago, now quite and expensive plate, sure it was only a few hundred when is withered too long....NB, gbn is my initials and I am a 20st plus weightlifter/philosopher/martial artist/poet....delete as appropriate haha...BIG GBN on my car, with a bit of imagination, would have been nice....particularly when I drove the smart cars!...

I had my personal plate which tied in with my business and it used to work a treat as it was a great ice breaker meeting clients for the first time. Retired now but still kept the plate as it now has a great amount of sentimental memories. Mike

I paid nothing for mine apart from transfer fee. It was a plate I had on a '82 Jag that I recently sold for spares.

I was recently the underbidder at a DVLA auction for GRU 5H (my surnames Rush). The reg sold for £1800. It is now on sale at 'Regtransfers' for £8795.

Nice mark up.

Paid £500 back in 2004. Thought the st georges cross tied in well because it looks like the first aid sign :)

What they ask for and what they get are two different stories. Mike.

H8 MMU - £250 from DVLA.

My surname is Hammond but someone pointed out it might be a good plate for a Man City fan (and I'm a Man U fan) :)
