Video Phones On 3 Mobile

Wondered if anyone had any experience with these 3 mobile video phones?

as far as I can make out you get a camera, a digi cam corder for 60 second clips, a video conference suite and a phone with a pda. all for £50 and £25 a month

then you get

500 mins cross network free every month

25 free texts a month

£10 free video messages for first three months ( when you've doubtless got no feckker to send to!)

seems like a bargain to me. reckon I need insurance this time to be safe though!

I work now and again with someone who has one.

They are really cool - love the idea of high speed internet connection from the phone.

video streaming worked well - we watched the goals from a match the night before from a web site.

only problem he had was that the 3G coverage was very hit and miss - and he works in the centre of Birmingham.

it drops back down to 2G coverage if there is no 3G coverage available - so you can still use the phone.

this is why I haven't got one yet - need decent coverage all over - not just in major city areas.

Just had the same feed back. I had three feckers try sell me them as the network is great! IT IS, CANT FAULT IT!

BUT

The Battery life is awfull! a half our chat halfway through the day will kill the Battery!

What good is that? I need a 400hr standby so I can go a day or two without charge and still make a reasonable number of calls... Not asking the earth I think!

SO the deal is off. I thought about the Sagem pay as you go camphone. it looks real cheap and is £159.

for and extra £20 I could get one of two very nice digital cameras ( no phone but no contracte either!) and I think it make more sense... Still cant bring myself to buy thought as I really like having the infra red upload.
