Will Let you know how this one progresses...............

Yesterday "Check VSC" Engine Light and Brake Light Lit up early for XMAS....

Not had chance to book into Lexus yet......just hoping it's not a "ECU" issue other wise I will be parking this car up Mr toyoda's Arse. :tsktsk:

Have Read on American Forum that it could be a fuel Cap Issue (Dought it very much  )

Maybe it just needs ANOTHER FKin Oxygen sensor.......

Can't say I will be buying another Lexus........the latest Ford/Vauxhalls have all the gadgets, are cheaper to buy/run, and may not be more reliable!!!

Will Keep you all posted............ :crybaby::crybaby:

Well I'll Be a Monkeys Uncle!!!!

...As I said.. read on American forum about driving 3 miles with the Fuel cap Off......

So, Just loosened the Cap to fullest extent and shut the flap......drove 4-5 Miles with said xmas lights on and no Traction control......(which was quite good fun on a couple of lonely roundabouts :winky: )

Stoped the car.....tightened up the cap a few clicks.....got back in....tentively started the car......opened eyes ...and to my surprise.....all the Xmas Lights were still there...and no traction control

Got home with the intention of calling Lexus to book it in....turned off........though sod it!!!....turned back on......NO LIGHTS!!!!........turned off....turned on NO LIGHTS!!!!!.....drove off again for 3 miles and stoped and started twice........NO LIGHTS!!!!!

Could this really have rectified the Issue? ,,.........watch this space :whistling:

Interesting! I also read somewhere about the petrol cap problem, you have to make sure the cap clicks at least 3 times when tightening it on, more doesn't hurt.

  • 4 weeks later...

Well...Update...

...before checkin in with Lexus I decided to wait and finish tank of fuel off,

Reason being, last time I filled up was on the way back from the Lakes, at a small village, 1 Pump, Garage Affair..

,,,you know the sort with 1950's pumps with bells a spinny things.

Filled up last week with some "cosher" fuel foolishly thinking maybe it was dodgy fuel that caused the issue.

.......after 50 miles on the new tank the Lights went out....and the car has been fine for about a week.

...so.......Could dodgy fuel have caused "check VSC" ???????????
