Hi can anyone advise me please,

i have a lexus is220d on a 56 plate, 39,000.00 miles, last week the performance was very sluggish on acceleration until it reached 2000 Revs, then it kicks in fine. no warning lights on dash.

Bought JLM particle filter cleaner followed instructions still the same,What do i need to try next please would appreciate any help offered

I have moved this topic to the corect IS220d section.

The Sudden boost is the turbo, it is a characteristic of the car and almost can be dangerous in my opinion, especially at junctions and roundabouts.

Or are you saying it suddenly has changed? I found that when i had one serviced and it seemed sluggish ever since. It seemed to have happened when the EGR valve was replaced.
