Satnav Info ? Loading Problem ?

hi all , could i sample your font of knowledge ? 1 week into my lexus ownership & intermittently the satnav screen reads

"unable to read data , check if map dvd is correct ?" but it has worked so i assume the dvd is correct & it is the reader that is faulty or maybe the disc ? have used a dvd cleaner disc but no joy

so questions ?

1)is the satnav reader/dvd/drive unit that is in the boot of my 300 sportcross the same as you find in other toyotas ?

2)do other toyota satnav discs work in lexus units ?

3)anyone else had similar issue ?
