Question From A New Lexus Owner

Hi all,

This is my first post, I recently bought a 06 is250 and I am very pleased with it. I have noticed a button on the dash and I don't know what its does:S

I have trawled through all the .PDF manuals posted here and the manuals I got with it and it's not explained.

Looks like it is for the heated Windscreen (it only heats the strip under the parked wipers - to free them up in the winter if frozen)

Thanks for the reply, it looked like windscreen heating but I couldn't see the element in the windscreen. That would make sense. Cheers.

Yep, its the front windscreen heater,plenty of info in the manual about it .

I think Ford have the patent/rights to the full windscreen heater matrix so you won't see it used by other manufacturers. That's a shame since it's a very good thing to have as opposed to just warming up the windscreen where the wiper blades are parked.

That's what I thought, but as it happens Minis have them too. My mate's 06-reg Cooper has them.
