Switch Query

Hi all,

New to the site after recently purchasing my first Lexus (is220d), car was bought privately and was an immaculately kept example with one drawback being no manual. Isnt really a problem as I utilised the info on here regarding the US manual, however one switch has me stuck and there is no reference to it in the US pdf manual. At first I thought it was headlamp cleaners although doesnt seem the case as its more like a windshield icon.

Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I see you used picture of my car there :) that switch is windscreen defrosters/de-icer. on the icy days when the windscreen has ice built up, it melts the ice around the windscreen wiper area at the bottom and the rest melts down slowly

I must add that during last winters bad snow/frost this wiper heater seemed to make no difference whatsoever. Ford's heated front screen is the solution to the problem. The heated seats however work a dream so it's no big deal waiting for the car to warm up before driving away.
