Rx400H Milage

Hi all,

Im currently looking at a couple of RX400h's and any models of interest, ie black with cream leather, have quite high milage. The models are either 2006 or 2007 and all have about 80-90,000 miles on the clock. Is there anything to look out for on higher milage models? ie Battery life etc.

If the service schedule and intervals on the RX400's are the same as the RX300's then be aware that Lexus strongly advise a cambelt change at 100k miles and getting it done at a Lexus dealer will put you back at LEAST £300. If you are buying from a main dealer, then negotiate to have it done within the purchase, if buying privately, negotiate a discount due this up and coming cost. Hope this helps.

my local lexus dealer did my cambelt for £100 plus belt! while it was in having the master cylinder recall work.I didnt believe it myself until i handed over the money and drove the car away (sharpishly)

i just told them i only wanted a belt as a local garage was fitting it and they matched the price if i had it done with the recall work! happy days
