I followed this link from a post on the TOC site.

It linked to a thread on the EVO owners club, and highlights an import company in Leeds which is being accused of 'dodgy' practices.

Thread summary:

VeilSide.co.uk is a car import company, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the Internationally-famed VeilSide Tuning company. VeilSide.com have confirmed this information.

Several cars for sale at the VeilSide.co.uk website have been noted to have certain potentially expensive defects; in almost every case, the seller claims these defects are nonexistent or less serious.

The owner of 'Veilside.co.uk' is being pursued for approximately £4,000 after a car sale which was forfeited due to the seller's dishonestly. The injured party has received no formal communication from Veilside.co.uk or a representative of his regarding this complaint.

The Japanese text on the site has simply been lifted from Mazda Japan's website and bears no relevance to the rest of the page content.

His use of the name "VeilSide" may not be legal - another company appears to be attempting to register the name through the correct and legitimate channels.

yep - read about this on the 200plus club. Dodgy character - would be worth staying well away (and a very interesting thread to read if you have half an hour to spare...)

i have read some of this.. very bad.

If anyone is interested in buying an import to ask for advice in forums beforehand. May save you 1000's!

Not saying there are many dodgy importers or Import sellers.. but people like Veilside can change his company name at any time!
