Radio Interference With Heated Rear W/s On..

Recommended Posts

Hello guys - anybody else had this problem or know of a fix (apart from listening to a disc instead while demisting!)

Typical - its been a cold night so the windows are misted up - particularly the rear window. So as I start up the car I fire up the demister, then put the radio on - the reception deteriorates - turn off the demister and its fine..

Cheers in advance..

Yes, same here, I haven't had a chance to look into this but I assume its due to Eddy Currents created by the large current draw interfering with the antenna cable. I think it will be just a matter of moving or isolating the cables.

I had forgotten I posted this as don't bother putting the radio on - go straight to Ipod instead. I will ask the dealership about this issue when I go to check what replacement tyres they reccomend.. will report back.. M
