I wonder if anyone can help, I left my year 2000 LS400 with the Battery disconnected for a few weeks, and when I re connected it the Battery turned the engine over fine but no signs of life. On reading the handbook it told me of a proceedure which I followed, but still no success. Has anyone else had this sort of problem and how might it be rectified?

Alternatively is it feasable to bypass the imobiliser?, I am not too bothered about having it from a security point of view.

hopeing someone can help, john

have heard of issues with keys before.

check the security light goes out when you put key in ignition (without turning it , transponder should activate)

if you are lucky enough to have another key/fob , try that.

the key has 3 functions. the blade (ignition and doors etc) , RF remote (remote unlocking) and the transponder - activated by a coil around the ignition barrel.

goodluck!
