Changing Low Beam Headlight

hi all,

i noticed that when i switch my headlights on, the right one lights up and then fades off. a bit strange i thought. usually if a bulb is burnt it doesn't switch on. anyway i'm assuming the bulb has gone as all other lights are working. the replacement bulb is a H11. how do i replace it? when you open the little door you can't open it fully as the air filter is there.

any ideas, surely its a quick job without the need to bring it in to the service centre

I can't say with any real authority as I have not had a GS 300.

But, I had a similar problem on my is220d. Found the best thing was to remove air filter cover, take the filter out and then remove the lower portion of the filter body from the wing. I think it was only 3 screws and was very easy. Then had tons of space to get in. The hatch doors were not the most generous I've seen and it was still quite fiddly to change the bulb.
