whilst down at the dealers the other day

an avensis caught my eye, but the main thing i noticed was the price £22755

is this correct or should i buy some glasses

this makes it dearer than the is200

Oh yes, let's all rush out and buy avensis's (avensi?) and if we are quick we'll beat all the senior citizens to the front of the queue (queue?).

It's probably only better because it's newer - I'm sure when the next IS is launched it will feature some of the good things in the Toyota -as long as it doesn't look anything like the avensis.

Imagine the shock and horror if all Lexus did was rebadge the avensis and call it an IS200 ! :duh: :duh:

Hmmm, I seem to remember the new MR2 in a group test (in a couple of magazines) coming last ... against cars, which included the MX5!! :P

And so it should the Mk3 MR2 is not a patch on the cars in it's class that the Mk1 and Mk2 were in their day :)

It would have been fair Fidgits if the TOC members didn't think Zee's car was standard :o

IS200's have it on the styling and the mods available,Avensis have it on the safety and if you do mod it you know what ever you do is original and that is where i like it :D

I had the hots for the new Avensis as soon as the pics came out. I think it looks great on the outside and the interior and goodies are a turn on.

Then I drove one and was mega disappointed. While the IS handles like a sports car, the steering on the Avensis has no feel.

Has anyone else driven it and has a similar impression? Having said all that, I am still looking forward to the factory tour.

competition has ben updated for the IS so the IS needs to keep up wit times and update i rate.
