Trc Control Problems

hi all, i ve got lexus is200, bought it 2 months ago whith head gasket blown, changed it put new one in and engine works ok now, only strange thing is that, when i start the car rev is above 1 and as soon as it worms up a bit it comes down to normal, anybody knows why it does that?also trc control flashing, i ve changed all spark plugs coil packs, keep restarting icu but after 10 minutes engine running it comes back again. can anybody tell me can it be trc control sensors? how can i check if they work or not? i wanted to read fault codes but it displays link error, does anybody know what could cause it? thank you in advance

The car revs higher when cold and then will drop the revs to normal due to the sensor on the engine and will rev higher still soemtimes when really cold.

What code reader are you using? Is it compatable with the car?

i see what u mean, but when engine worms up fuel pump jumps and makes ticking noise, yes its obd2 reader, i ve tried

other ones as well but no joy

Hi I would say about/between 750 - 800

As above when warm but anywhere between 900-1200 when you've just started it

thanks for replies guys, i ve got another problem, when engine is running you can hear noise of fuel pump, sort of helping engine to keep running, what could be the reason?

The fuel pump will run all of the time. What noise are you getting? A ticking noise might be an injector rather than the pump.

a friend of mine had the same problem.

we located & changed the whole throttle body unit.

after replacing, it idled at about 2300rpm for the last time, since then it has been spot on.
