De-badging The Sports Grill

Recommended Posts

Yes,, you should be able to put it back on, by some means hsould you wish,, but it looks oh so better without. and its less for missus mop to clean

But Mrs Mop likes the (L) on the grill....

Hence why I want to know if I can put it back on again...

why do you want to take the L off? only looks right when cars lowered to the ground with some funky bodykit on and 19" chrome rims, cos then it doesnt look like a lexus anyway

or is that what you've done?

Nope.... just tempting to give the front a 'less cluttered' look...

Regarding the (L) on the mesh sports grill...

1. How do you do it?

2. Can you put the badge back on?

The Lexus logo would appear to come on and off easy enough given the fastenings (perhaps called "grommets"?).

However, the more naff 'Sport' badge is apparently bonded on with the same plasticky resin stuff that costs the mesh. This would apparently tear the resin and leave a rectangular area uncoated if removed.

That's a more difficult problem

Ian my good man, get that (L) off the front! It looks so much better...looks more aggresive, like the Lex is ready to eat some serious tarmac!! :D
