Just had my new baby converted to LPG by ProfessAutogas in Cardiff on Friday. Got to say that I'm well impressed with it.

I had said in an earlier post that I would take pictures and post them but really there is nothing to see. Whe you open the bonnet there is one plug showing (the diagnostics plug) and other than that it looks completely standard.

If I'm honest I was a bit nervous when I arrived at their workshop because it's a small unit in an industrial estate. However 5 minutes after arriving they had my car in and were measuring up for a doughnut tank and where I wanted the filler nozzle. The fitters were all Polish and their English varied from limited to nil. I didn't get to stay and observe as I had hoped so went off to find breakfast and somewhere to catch up on my sleep.

Got back at 3:30pm and they were almost finished. Just acouple of connections to make and the indicator to place on the dash, then calibrate the system and Robert is indeed your mother's brother. All completed and paid for, including a cable to access the system plus the software and a full tank of gas and away I went.

The car worked perfectly as I drove to Stafford where I was spending the night even though the weather was horrendous with rain lashing down.

So the bottom line is, I'm delighted with the job and when I thought about it, using Polish workers makes sense since they have a much more mature LPG environment over there.

They use Stag kits (http://www.ac.com.pl/en). Stag are a Polish company who seem to have a long established business in LPG kits.

As for the performance etc, there is no difference that I can detect except that it's cheaper of course. I'm still working on the consumption figures as I haven't had a chance to use the car much as I'm working away at the moment.

The cost was 1300 pounds and the job was completed in 1 day. Their website is here.. http://www.professautogas.co.uk/index.html

Hope your conversion goes as well as mine.
