Ls430 Acc/pcs Radar Cruise

Hi,

I'm looking at the LS430 and acc/pcs is something I want, but I have found conflicting information about it. Was it ever standard in the UK? If so from when? My understanding is that it was always an option but others have suggested differently. Also is it possible to retrofitit as it seems a pretty rare option

It was always an option, and the only option on the LS430 - available from some time in 2004 I think.

Not sure if it's possible, but retrofitting would be very expensive.

Ditto to Parthiban's reply. I think most 430.s wont have acc. Had cruise control on my 430 and now acc on my 460. Happy with either/both.

The cost would be prohibitive, I think just the radar box would cost £4000.

Well, it's good to sometimes be able to contribute something useful.

Most 430s did just have vanilla cruise control, but some of the later ones did indeed have adaptive cruise. To tell if a LS430 does have it, just look at the grille around the badge at the front. Cars without adaptive cruise just have normal looking grilles, but those with, have the radar box behind the badge, approximately twice the width of the badge, and just a little taller. You can see it clearly.

I'd say that if you can get a car with adaptive cruise, go for it. Long distance driving becomes less tiring.
