Recommended Posts

I dont knwo if I am missing them on my car, or the colours have weon out or just missing the covers that people tend to colour themselves.

Can someone shed some light?

Here are what my wheels look like. What do you think is missing?

I would have your rear calipers checked as it looks like your pistons are seized, or perhaps partially seized as the wear area on both discs isn't anywhere near as uniform as the fronts.

Thanks for the tip. I will get it checked out asap. I think I know what they are now, but what I did want to ask I guess was how people customise them with colours and lexus logos etc. I think these calipers are missing their covers which are painted on?

Somjething like this?

Here is something I found on eBay. Can these go straight onto the calipers?

We do not use covers for painted calipers! The calipers need to be cleaned and painted before logos are applied and then clear laquered. A walk through of how to do it is here

These are dummy plastic covers to deceive people that you have fitted a BBK (big brake kit). Not recommended as they (1) look stupid as the discs are still the same diameter as standard and (2) will make you look stupid when they fall off or you hit someone up the rear end when failing to stop even though you have 'brembo performance' brakes.

I'd say you've got everything that any normal RX300 has, ie calipers, discs, corroded wheels etc..

...and an odd mixture of tyres!!!

JBP

I know i know, will get them sorted out soon.

I was kidding, there are probably a million other things you'd rather spend your hard earned on but seen as you ask...

It depends what you are wanting to pay. You can pick up some locking nuts like those below:

Ebay Link

Or you can get some covers for your existing locking nuts from your local dealership.

Or you can do something stupid and get these:

Outrageous Price!

I wouldn't advise them though, you can just pull them off and I reckon they'd go walkies!!

Hope that helps
