Cannot Make Phone Calls Whilst Driving?

Is this a fault on my LS430? I tried to make phone calls using the centre touch-screen display whilst on the motorway but everything related to making phone calls was greyed out. I could only use the phone system whilst stationary. Is this a fault on my car as I simply cannot believe that Lexus won't allow you to make a phone call when driving?!

This is going to be a real issue for me with the car as I do hundreds of business miles per week and need to make phone calls every day.

No that's not a fault, that's how the system is. I think you can use the speed dials but nothing else. Same with the navigation, can't input anything while on the move.

Only way round it is to get a "lockpick" - which enables everything and also gets rid of the "I Agree" screen.
