I've had that function on all of the cars that i've owned in recent years and I was wondering whether the LS430 locks all the doors when you drive off. It's a safety and security feature to stop you being car-jacked when you're stationery at traffic lights, for example.

ive had a mk1 and mk2 ls430 and neither had this feature, they just have the lock all doors button on the drivers door near the window switches. my other half has an audi a3 and this feature is turned on or off at the dealers, so maybe this is also possible with the lexus

I can remember this being discussed in the past and that the option is there in the C-BEST settings in US cars but for some reason is disabled in Europe - not sure if it applies to the LS430 though.

List of settings for US cars is in this thread: LINK

All the doors automatically lock on my 1994 LS400 when you reach 20 mph but it is an import, might be worth contacting Lexus to see if the option is available and if they will enable it at your next service FOC.
