Just seen a short article on the Cobra Connex in Auto Express. Seems it's a fancy tracking device that lets you track your car on the internet!

It also does things like let you set a speed limit, and then alerts you immediately if it's exceeded (good if the other half borrows the car)? Also you can 'text' your car if you lose your keys, and it'll open the doors - dunno if it'll start the ignition tho. Pricey at £799 + £120 p.a.

Anything web-based could be 'cracked', and if they can find the car and open the doors... :shutit:

and its a bit on the steep side, theres other systems out there that offer more for less on a more stable platform

I'm sure Geoffers could devise a system, attaching a Pay-as-you-go mobile to your alarm system, that would respond to a SMS with its status....
