well........... people take guitars as hand luggage... and I'm sure you could get a couple of side skirts in the overhead lockers on a 777...

As for the engine... well... you don't need clothes on the way home do you.. just get a BIG suitcase...

How about a few JDM accessories - like the JDM Aeriel, JDM dash tray, JDM Non-smokers box etc.... small, will be cheap and you should have no hassles getting them through...

I wonder if I can pick up a portable HD based MP3 player cheap for use in the car with an FM modulator and knock up some sort of cradle....

You should be able to get a decent MP3 player for cheap out there....

Also.. if your thinking of buying a digi camera.. thats the place to buy one, you will get the best on the market for 1/4 of the price here...

Japan eh! Take it thats Tokyo?

I went there for work on Jan. If you go to Akihabara (or however its spelt), thats what they call electronic city. Can get anything there.

I found the little market part to be the cheapest, make sure you get the UK export version if you need it to plug into the mains etc.

I found the prices still more expensive than our staff sales shop in tokyo but cheaper than here!! :P

Enjoy yourself, some lovely places to eat there. Where you staying?
