Need Help Mk1 Gs 300 Gone Madddddddd

hi everyone ive had a problem with my speedo some of the bulbs have been burnt out i followed tigerfish tutorial and done ok then wen put wires back in, my fuel gauge was showing on full and no orange light on the needle and bulbs still burnt out i bought a speedo from eBay and it has some burnt out bulb problems, and the mileage gauge and rpm work fine except the orange lights. the 5 screws each side which go to fuel gauge and 5 screws temperature gauge is there a certain way u have to put them in could that be why it not working properly after i put it together they look like needle end its 10 i total.dont know what to do now.have to get my orange lights for speed gauge and rpm gauge and change bulbs with out making more mess.any help appreciated

I can't remember a great deal about the inside workings of the dash anymore but the screws that are very long are used to carry the electrics between one board and the next. So if they are not making contact properly it would most likely stop parts of the dash from working. I would just double check everything is making contact.

thanx tiger fish i done it the 5 screws each side i take out of old speedo and put them i corect order and it works ok now ,next step is LED bulbs soon i deside for green colour i got it from eBay 10x 286 T5 £6-7 hope i get it change soon thanx again
