:crybaby: Read recently on the site that someone was quoted 349 quid for the 20000 mile service at Lexus Newcastle - mine is due shortly and I get the impression that is a bit on the steep side.

Anyone had a recent 20000 mile service done cheaper?

Also been getting wear on inside front of tyres and been told by National Tyres that it is a trait of the car and enhances the handling - nothing whatsover wrong with tracking etc. and I'll just have to live with it - anyone having similar excessive wear?

I don't know about the service cost - my dealer did the 20k service for free when I bought it at 18k but the front tyres wearing on the inside is pretty common. They can do the wheel alignment so they don't wear on the inside but it ruins the handling.

BTW if you join as a gold member you can get 15% off servicing at some dealers.

how do you find out which dealers take up the "gold" discount ?

You join Gold mate....

It really is worth it, and I'm certain you'll find one in your area, if your local dealer isn't included.

By the way, my 20,000 service was about 340 quid.. (without discount).

My 20k was £250.

Not true - well, it IS a trait, but the rest of it is cobblers. You need to get a laser alignment done (at your dealer preferably).

by joining.

A full four wheel alignment forms part of the 20k service.

Dealer should only charge extra if adjustments are required.

If they try and charge you for the 'check', they're stitching you up
