Hi All,

Has anyone got a good picture of an IS200 sport lowered on Eibach springs.

I know the Sport model sits 15mm lower than the SE model and the Eibachs will lower the SE model by 30mm. I wanna see how much lower the extra 15mm will look on the Sport model.

i would of thought it would lower the sport by 30mm as well

you would be replacing the springs that are 15mm lower with ones that are 30mm lower

I have been quoted 228 quid - for six hours work.

I paid £50......... (alright, they are friends who own a garage), but even so, their usual price is £100 for changing 4 springs, and it should take NO longer than 3 hours....

defintely a case of add 150% because its a lexus (hey - I must be able to afford to be ripped off eh?)

There is a Halfords with a AA (I think) centre atached - will give them a call

Neil (Neil IS200) just paid £60 to have my old Apex springs fitted at a local performance car shop.

Lexus Teesside quoted him £260+Vat.... :o

Nope, thats not correct.

If the Eibachs lower the SE by 30mm and the Sport is already 15mm lower than the SE, then the 30mm springs are only lowering the Sport by 15mm.

ie, the sport will drop by 15mm with the 30mm spring.

When I zoom into the pic, it becomes very pixelated as its a bit small.

Nope, thats not correct.

I may be reading this incorectly...but I think you are both saying the same thing in 2 different ways.

The Eibach springs will lower the SE and Sports the same regardless of what is on at the moment.

Both will sit 30mm lower.

Yep, I think TonyGoose has understood what I'm trying to explain.

Its because I guess I have a 2001 model which comes 15mm lower in standard form which may be a bit confusing. Its not that I have lowered it 15mm myself. Therefore 30mm springs that will lower the SE by 30mm will only lower mine by 15mm.

So by installing -30mm eibach springs in either model will lower the car by -30mm.

NO NO NO ...

Sport + SE shox are indeed the same ...

and yes sport springs give 15mm lower ride height (2001 and later)

Look at it this way ..... taking 130mm as standard SE height for example ...

IS200 + SE springs rides at a height of 130mm from ground.

IS200 + Sport springs rides at height of 115mm from ground.

IS200 + Eibachs rides at a height of 100mm from ground.

Eibach springs will give the same ride height on SE + Sport.

That's fixed and makes no difference what the original ride height was.

I think the (-30mm) confusion arises because eibach released these springs when the SE + Sport had the same standard ride height ... ie pre 2001. Lexus reduced the 'sport' ride height by 15mm but eibach haven't updated their info to say -30mm (SE) -15mm (Sport).

Does that help ? I don't think i can make it any clearer ...

Just one final example ....

From what you're saying, eibach springs always reduce height by 30mm.

So what if my car has a 20mm ride height ? Do they turn it into a submarine ?

Sorry to go off key a little, but how much are the Sport springs to lower it by just the 15mm. This is against the SE which is what I have! Also, do you need all 4 or just the rears?

I didn't want to lower it that much though as may look odd seeing as have no body kit or spoiler etc.
