Lowering Springs Is200 60mm?

hi guys just picked up a is200 today and ive been looking to lower it but cant find springs lower than 40mm drop anyone know of anywhere to get say 60mm cheers in advance mark :winky:

you wont find any mate.......if you want to go that low coil overs are the only way....

cheers mate was hoping to not have to go down the coilys route as its just a cheap daily for the mrs lol but if thats the only option to slam coilys it is

Shortened struts with lowered spring is another way to get a 50-60mm drop. KYB do them in the JDM market to suit Altezza's. You can also get Koni with different rings to mount the spring seat in.

Failing that any suspension specialist should be able to modify/shorten some struts for you.

I think TEIN springs will give you the biggest drop to.

i got 50mm tenzo R springs of eBay which was a hell of a drop honestly dont think it would go much lower, especially at the back!

lad posted up about these the other day and said they were a very good ride and made the stance superb, is there any chance of rubbing with a car load on the standard 5 spokes or do they tuck under the arches?

heres a pic of mine lowered about 60mm on standard 5 spokes, however its on coilovers.

no rubbing at all unless i go over a speed bump thats really bad... the wheels tuck into the arches nicely when i got passengers in the back

no rubbing even with a full car!!

i was sitting approx at 90 and i'd just shot past all of the cars before the bend i was on the way back from smc(large car event)and some of the peeps on the stand my car was on went home a diff way and got this pic as they stood on the overpass!!!

Since this was brought up I thought I add a bit more info.

If you are looking at lowering springs, try to stay away from anything that lowers more than 35mm.

If you are making your standard suspension lose more than 35mm of damper stroke travel, the result will be a leaking damper fairly quickly.

It also mean you can be hitting your bump stop making the ride juddery and not comfortable.

If it comes down to lowering springs brand... Eibach is the best to go for.

And if you want to go lower than that, go for a quality "dual perch" coilovers as this type of coilovers allows adjustment to ride hight without losing damper stroke travel.

Even if they were to fit, would they be the correct spring rate for the IS200?

Chances are the won't and furthermore the spring rating would be wrong even if they did fit, so no point taking the risk
