Wondering About Bhp ? Heres My Is200..

heres a couple of pics of my is200 se does anyone know what bhp they are pushing standard??

i have just been to exhuasts on saturday and had a stainless sytem fitted sounds very nice..

also got the private reg on meant to say plumo couldent have p7 umo as my dad has it lol ..

Standard IS200 engine pushes out 153bhp- its not a fast car, more of a cruiser designed to get you from A to B in comfort.

Yours looks like a nice example.

its abit loud though alot louder than i expexted sounds nice though in the video .

like kkam said its not a fast car but at 19 itll do lol maybe go for turboing it eventually as i like the look of intercoolers sticking out the frnt end and will have alot more power thats talking a fair bit of money though...

exhaust will get quieter over time as the soot builds up (or something similar) inside if its a little too loud at the moment.

could i get that (intercooler look ) with an oil cooler or can you not put an oil cooler on a N/A car ??

you can put an oil cooler on but there about 15 cm wide by 10cm high not the size of an intercooler

You don't need one on your car mate, all you will do is cool your oil to much and it may not reach operating temp.

You could just put an intercooler in place, and leave the piped blanked off......

really not a fan of the exhuast, im not a fan of any aftermarket exhuast tbh, i feel the standard backbox produces a lovely sound, looking at a standard is200 i just think they sound silly with a loud exhaust on as kam mentioned there a cruiser, an aftermarket exhaust just makes it dound like its gettin nowhere loudly

i had mine on a dyno the other week with a group of mates

mines a 2001 SE with an airfilter fitted and a good service and it produced 163.9bhp at the fly

That should be Torque.

Torque would have been my 2nd guess

I just remember reading somewhere that standard 200 should have 125 bhp @ the wheels, and that line seemed to be about 125.

I put 2 + 2 together & never ever get 4

Same here I never get all the maths right, but torque is "usually" displayed on the same graph as BHP.
