Gs 300 Mk 3 "wooly" Steering

I sold by trusty MK2 300 sport just before Christmas and purchased a 2005 Mk3 (might just be regretting that a tad)

At speeds over 60 the car wanders from the straight ahead, every so slightly but enough for it to cause constant, and almost sub-concious, corrective steering imputs. What makes the situation worse is a minute lag between steering wheel input and actual steering input, leading to a tendancy to overcompensate for its waywardness. (it's definitely not tramlining) This all becomes very tiresome, especially on long motorway runs, to the point where I want my Mk 2 back. The steering rack was replaced just last October (recall item - the first time it was done they fitted the wrong rack!), the tyres are fairly new Pirellies and I had the whole geometry checked today and evrything was bob-on apart from the front right caster angle very very slightly out at 6Degs 36'. So the answer doesn't appear to be there. I'm enjoying the additional power, and better fuel comsumption and "toys" and yes I do think it is even quieter than the Mk2 but unless I can overcome its wooly nature it'll have to go I'm afraid. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be and or what to try next?

Thanks

Marc-H
