Value Of Used Is200 Sport

Hi all

Been looking over here in Ireland this past while for a used 2001 IS200 Sport (with little luck as used Sports are hard to come by over here).

However, I've seen a 2001 reg UK IS200 Sport with 25k miles, in blue, full Lexus history, new alloys under warranty and totally standard for £14k in a private sale.

The guy has emailed me some pics and the car certainly looks the business but I was wondering what you lot think about the price? Seems OK ish to me. Oh and what areas should I pay attention when looking at one of these!

P.S. He also mentioned that the Water Pump was replaced recently under warranty and that this was a known IS200 fault. Anyone else heard of this?

I had my water pump replaced a short while back and have seen a few others with the same problem.

Well the local Lex dealer here is asking £16,795 for an '01 Sport with 27½K on the clock, so Supra's deal is easily the best

Well mine has done almost 30k and had no probs........i must be lucky(famous last words)

I'd take Mat's offer if you can stretch that bit further as its only 6 months old :winky:

There has been a few peeps here that have had probs with cd/sat nav/notchy 2nd gear

now thats common

make sure its got a FULL LEXUS service history though as this counts,as its still under warranty

most of these probs can all be sorted.

Im sure other members will chip in too......
