I think its pretty cool (sorry bazza).

sure Steve will add it to the navigation bar at the top of the forums shortly.

how is it "too much hassle" - I found it to be pretty easy to use (not having a pop - just asking for more constructive criticism, its hard to improve anything with vague feedback :P )

yeah - you need a password to access it - but that is standard fare in this day and age - your browser should remember it any way.

and doesnt seem to list all people attending

just click on the number in the confirmed column - easy peasey!

:D B)

dont get me wrong, i agree in principal it is cool but it seems not everyone is using it

general comments ,in general chat

far easier to look on topics concerning meets

i know there is a lot of people spending a lot of time, in doing things for this club

i and everyone else im sure, appreciates all there hard work

We will soon be fazing out thread lists for meets.

Everyone will soon have to sign up and use the events system and will be compulsary.

There are a couple of thing i think may need adding such as

Guests

links more prominant in the program.

few bugs on email addresses (does not like sub domain email addresses.

Map of regions

we are still in serious early stages with this.

The whole point of signing up is for notifications.. if the meet is cancelled then everyone who is signed up will receive a notification.

plus it allows you to sign up to more than one meet at a click of a button.

I had a few "cool" ideas as well.

1) When you sign up for a meet the software could email you a calendar appointment which you could click to enter into most calendar programs (implements a calendar encoding method which is fairly universal). As usual, this would be an opt-in feature. (Actually, this is something I'd like to play with :))

2) Allow members to "subscribe" to regions and so events for those regions are visible to them when they log in.

3) If a member signs up for a meet outside of their region, list in their local region's table until the meet is past.

4) Some comments Clare passed me in a PM (polite ones I might add :)).

:mat: <-- why's this emoticon called MAT? :D :D
