Finally It Was My Cars Turn For A Trip To W.i.m.

Pleased to say I've finally joined the crowd of IS200 members getting their car sorted properly at W.I.M.

As many will have read on these boards before the car was much better behaved on the journey home afterwards.

Much less fidgety and not as fierce when on my local roads which are plagued with ruts from the huge amount of big trucks which frequent them.

Can now drive quite relaxed only loosely holding the steering wheel and not have to keep correcting it to go in a straight line.

Hopefully can now start having some reasonable life from a set of tyres too

Cool bit of kit + expert who knows what it's for = yet another very grateful customer

I've got to get mine checked again soon, I had it done by a local garage using Tonys settings, but it seems to have got gradually twitchier over the last 10k. Has anyone had it done to tonys settings at a Lexus Dealer? I emailed Lexus cardiff a while back and asked them could they do it, and they said yes, but Im gonna ring them and check they'll do it to tonys settings.

If Lexus Derby are anything to go by, they don't actually do it themselves. You drop your car off, and it goes off to a local geo place. Can't remember the name of the place in Derby off the top of my head that carried out the geo, but the kit they used couldn't read castor/king pin angles. In short, I would check who is actually going to do it and what angles they can adjust. Not all geo places are equal.

My local dealer did mine several times using a machine which they called 'the bear'.

Clearly that wasn't up to the job or they didn't know fully how to do it or possibly both.

Mentioned it to Tony and he said it's not a system he would choose to use at all.
