When the brake pads were replaced for the first time on a new GS300 that I previously had (four years back), I felt I lost some braking performance. I have just replaced it with another new GS300 and wondered if anyone is aware if the OEM pads are of a different specification to UK pads and how I might overcome this problem to retain the original braking performance? Thanks, Marcus.

I would think that pads supplied and fitted by a Lexus dealer are OEM and made in Japan.

I have very high mileage on my GS and have replaced the brake lines with steel ones, which helps a lot.

If you wanted to keep the brake "feel" like new, you'd have to keep and eye on all of the piston seals and the fluid's hydroscopy - I guess it depends on how far you want to go with that stuff?
