Wing Mirrors

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I've currently experienced a problem with my '99 IS200.. Parked the car outside my houseone night, when I started it the next day the folding mirror engine on the drivers side started up, and it wouldn't stop running.. Even though my mirrors was fully folded out when I started the car. If i fold them in, it stops.. But when i'm folding them out again the same thing happens.. Anyone experienced a simmilar problem before?

Had exactly the same thing last weekend....solution was to replace the Battery in the key. :)

i'm confused, how does a dodgy Battery in the key affect the folding of the mirrors?

I have a minor problem with the mirror on my passenger door, when I fold them in it touches the window. where the driver's side stops before hitting the glass, is there a way to adjust how far in they fold?

I have the exact same problem.

One mirror hits the window glass when closing.

But that happened after i accidently hit that mirror causing it to close rapidly.

So i guess something broke or malfunctioned inside.

Maybe you have a similar hit when your car was parked?
