Gs300 Mk2 Vvti Pull Ecu Reset ? Bogs Down

hi guys

i have been told by my friend it would be good idea to reset my ECU as VVTi pull tends to bog down after some time.

my questions are

1. is that true VVTi pull bogs down after some time ?

2. how to reset ECU

3. would it be ok/good idea to reset ECU i mean im hoping by reseting ECU im not gona triger some more issues

I reset the ECU on my Mk1 once. No issues apart from a little rough running for 2 or 3 miles after while things re-calibrated themselves.

Let me know what happens if you do do it regarding the VVTI, if all is good I'll do my Mk2 aswell ;)

when you did reset on your mk1 did you notice any difference in performance ?

i mean running wise and in terms of fuel consumption etc...

when you did reset what was the big thing / change you noticed ?

just waiting for good weather and im defo going to reset ecu and clean MAF

i'll let you know how i get on with reset :)

3 - a difference in gear shifts as the transmission relearns your driving style.

When my ecu has been reset on my mk1, this is the most noticable thing if you always drive around with the etc/pwr set to normal. Initially, it will seem more responsive until it learns and generally dulls things down a bit.

did reset this morning.

to be honest i didnt notice any difference as such....the only difference i noticed is gear shifting is bit smoother now

and no other problems.

bought some spray today and gona clean MAF sensor today or tomorrow.

once MAF is all cleaned im hoping to get bit more mpg's.
