Bmw & Is250

Well, im thinking of changing my e90 320d m-sport in 2010, i was looking at a 530d but for the price and lack of options i decided to look at lexus. I explained this to my loacal dealer who was happy to give me a test drive in a 250 se-l auto, and not once did he put me under any pressure to buy, even when i said i would be looking at pre owned.

The car it self was in a different league in terms of interior, with a better more relaxed feeling, although i seemed to be sitting quite high up even on the lowest setting, the seat ventilation worked well, to the point that my legs were getting cold and i had to turn it off. The engine was whisper quiet and smooth as was the gearbox and the steering light when moving slow and well weighted and precise when on the move.

The ride was firm but not as much as the bmw and the car i had was an 09 with 4k on the clock and the ave mpg was 34 which i would be more then happy with and i would imagine could get nearer to the high 30's early 40's with a light right foot.

The standard spec is what would swing it for me and adaptive cruise is the only other thing i would want, the refined engine is what would also tempt me away from diesel aswell. One other thing, the reverse camera, although a bit nervous at first is not a gimmick and as you know works a treat.

Well only you can really determine of all those toys will be worth surrendering the sheer driving ability of the BMW :)

Everything you say about the Lexus is true - but it comes down what will keep you happy IMHO. Tough decission...

It will be a tough decision, but in terms of driving ability, i never drive the bmw hard enough to exploit its talents, so its a waste realy, i would rather comfort and refinement nowadays.
