Ok folks was just wondering what is the best setting for the rear ARBS ?

In other words which of the three holes would you go for :lol:

And anything else that I should be aware of once they are fitted.

Cheers Mr Mole.

:offtopic: how do te settings make a diff?

They just give the option to make it less stiff if you want to. Some ARBs are adjustable like that (e.g. TTE), some (e.g. C-One, as I've got) aren't.

I had a Whiteline ARB fitted to my old GT4.

Firstly, the further from the ends the hole is, the stiff the bar will work because you are shortening the leverage.

Also, one thing to think about as well is, the uprated bar might be stiffer on the softest setting than original bar might be at the fixed setting. Normally you will get a clue by comparing the thicknesses of the two bars.

For what it is worth, stiffening the rear end on my old Celica GT4 turned it from being understeering to being balanced and loaded toward oversteer without actually breaking away but that was due to awesomeness of the grip if the 4wd and sticky tyres.

The idea for the different holes is to ensure the drop-link connecting pin is horizontal depending on how low the car is.

You cannot change the pre-load on the arb since it's floating.... or in other words you can change the pre-load but only for one direction.

So dose that mean it dose not make any difference to how the car would drive / handle which ever hole you had it in ???
