Another Damaged Tyre !

I am turning into a "GRUMPY OLD MAN".

I am sick of sitting on the fence and not complaining.

Below you will find sites that give you a chance to state your case for change in our modern society, Don't allow other people to walk all over us without consultation or thought.

Most of the services that we pay for in Tax - Rates etc: Never meet our expectations therefore its time to fight back.

So to combat this stage of apathy in my life . I invite you to join me in my crusade to be a *PAIN IN THE ----* to Local Officials / Authorities and Governing Bodies.

Please view the link sites and give them hell. You can't stop paying statutory charges but you can complain. So lets *Do It*

jesus where i live in the highlands , i HONESTLY dont think we should have to pay the same road tax as you guys further down south

Theres craters in the road that MUST be visible from the moon , no motorway etc etc , infact theres no bloody dual carriageway for 80 miles !!

That's actually a fair point, especially the stupid new tax structure that's coming in - that's pretty much a tax for London and Cheshire but you guys will get stung too even though you probably actually need a range rover to get around.........

fixmystreet have an Iphone app aswell on the app-store, very easy to report a problem. you simply take a picture using the Iphone and put a description of the problem. the location is determined automatically using GPS

Wholeheartedly agree.

You definitely should not be paying the same road tax, you should be paying a hell of a lot more. Your roads lead to some of the most beautiful places on the planet with stunning views along the way.

You should be eternally grateful that you pay so litttle.

Blimey something happened quick here.

On BBC1 Midlands tonight one of the news features was damage caused to the roads by the "exceptional" winter and how much of OUR money various councils are going to have to spend on them.

What they actually mean is for the past 20 years we have spent as little as possible patching the roads up and now the 20 year winter of hell has finally finished off what remained of them.

A local trunk road ( A610) had a half mile section into Codnor fully resurfaced last year the rest had the fantastic tar and grit covers up everything proceedure ( the budget ran out to do it all as the purchase of a new speed camera/cash machine was more important!). At the moment all the potholes on the gritted section have been highlighted with the yellow spray paint to prewarn drivers of the up and coming hazards so they may take evasive action :whistling:

Talking of speed cameras and as the Government is basically bankrupt why can't we buy "shares" in a speed camera, say a 20% stake and then you get a yearly income from the profits tax free of course or you can have "points deduction vouchers to remove points off your licence instead if you are approaching the 12 point limit.

For more information go to www.sharemygatso.gov.uk :whistling:

BTW apparently Russian roads are worse than ours!

It think that your local council repairs non arterial roads out of council tax, central government pays for the arterial ones. Have you heard that some councils want to leave potholes as they are as "traffic calming"?

traffic calming my butt. i will send them the bill everytime i have to change a tyre

Heh, traffic calming. I think they are trying to encourage everyone to buy a huge 4by4 with massive tyres. It's the only way to beat the speed humps.

On the news this morning about ALL 30mph roads to become 20mph. Proposal at the moment but you never know.
