06-08 Lexus Gs, Is, And Ls Models Recalled

Lexus has just announced that they will be recalling their Lexus GS 300/350, IS 250/350, and LS 460/460L models for the 2006-08 model year. The recall is meant to replace faulty fuel-delivery lines that can lead to fuel leakage over time - a big no no as far as vehicle safety. The fuel-delivery pipes may not have been coated correctly, as Lexus states that some ethanol fuels with a low moisture content may corrode the internal surface of the pipes. Over time, the corrosion would increase the chance of a pinhole forming in the fuel-delivery pipes, resultng in the fuel leak. Of course, we all know that could lead to an engine fire, so if you own one of these cars or have friends or family that do, have them contact their nearest Lexus dealer immediately.

Just announced? I posted this in May 2008, and it was overdue then. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ic=50809&hl= The fuel line on my car was changed on recall early June last year.
