Hi,

Having reserached eBay for some considerable time, and a stubborn refusal to purchase from Lexus I have found these rear spoilers for sale.

But which one is best?

Please try to remain impartial in your decision - I note one of the spoilers is for sale by an LOC contributor!

Personally I'd go with the TOM's one mate, saw it in the flesh on Dave's car and it did look nice :)

I'm also biased as I like the TOM's stuff :)

I prefer the OE looking one- slightly more to it somehow.

I've borrowed SRs as loan cars before, and the spoiler really sets it off- I'm looking into getting an OE fitted at the moment.

I like the bigger one too.

The seller says the spoiler needs to be bolted on. Don't fancy that. Can I just get 3M tape and stick it on? Any ideas?

Cheers again

The OE one is bolted on. I agree that its not ideal, but if its done properly it should be fine. I understand some in the US stick 'em on with tape, but you'd need to be sure it wouldn't fly off!

I'd consult a bodyshop.

I've purchased the slightly bigger one. Let's see what it looks like.

That would be my choice TBH. I have seen the TOM's one up close, but think it's just a tiny bit small.

I would suggest professional bodyshop do the fitting, especially if bolting on, and also ask how they

would protect any holes against rust....

Hi,

I finally purchased and had painted/fitted my spoiler - see below. I know its not a good pic, shadows etc. Those are genuine bright spots from the sun no editing done there. :shifty: That was after a couple of coats of BH Autobalm.

Rear windows tinted too.

Looks great!

Was it a big trauma drilling it in, or did you glue it on in the end?

It was stuck on with a blend of 3M tape and 'windscreen bonding sealant', oddly enough.

thanks
