Hi Guys,

What Top 5 cars would you have in your semi-fantasy car garage and why?

Just to stop everyone saying Ferrari or Lambo or Bugatti, I have proposed the following guidelines.

- Their is limit of £50K (Brand New Retail price) on EACH car.

- Your list must include one runabout car for taking into supermarket car parks, town centres etc

- You list must also include one car that is quite economical (>34mpg combined cycle)

1. BMW 335d Coupe Remapped in white with carbon fibre splitter, spoiler and other bits. Just a superbly powerful diesel that looks great and gets decent fuel economy.

2. Mitsubishi Evo 9 MR FQ360, modded obviously to some rediculous power figure! This would be the weekend pycho road going rally car with 4WD reasurance on the road and the on road handling to make it the fastest point to point car. Then again a nice Skyline R34 GT-R is also very tempting (new R35 is just out of budget), as is the new M3. B)

3. Honda S2000 GT I have always liked these, they are one of the best convertable "british sports cars" with the crazy 9K RPM VTEC Engine. Good for a sunny day. The Nissan 350Z convertable is also a contender. ;)

4. Lexus GS450h The car for taking the family out and about in with good economy. Would be a tough choice between the BMW 535D and the GS450h, but with me already having the 335D, it would be nice to stick with a Lexus. :P

5. Fiat 500 Abarth The erm............s :tsktsk: er for visiting the super market and to go around town; think it looks really nice! Never thought I would have a Fiat in my list! :innocent: Obviously the BMW Mini is a contender too, but suprisingly I don't rate the build quality that highly and the suspension is pretty harsh (well on 17") for just pottering about town.

Damn.......... realised I have no V8 in my list......really should have one V8 for the noise! This is a provisional list at the moment! LOL

1- MK1 Escort RS2000.

4- RS500 Cosworth in white

5- Mini Cooper s GT. Not sure on the mpg though :D

I think the main two I'd have would be:

Nissan GT-R

Lexus LS460.

These are both slightly over 50k though I think :(. Hmmm. Could I get a RR Sport for less than 50k?
