Sidelights Which Led's

Going to replace the LED's i've got in my sidelights as there just not very bright (like me) and was wondering whats best to go for 6 LED or 4, will 6 be too bright just for sidelights?

sounds a silly question but when u say side lights which ones do you mean? the low beam at the front or the actual lights on the wing? also will these fail mot?

The lights on the wing's are the indicators matey, the side lights are the 1st setting on your light stalk, 1st side lights, 2nd dipped beam, 3rd main beam when pushed forward.

The reason i'm changing is mine they are too dull and I don't think they'll pass the MOT but if there bright enough then you shouldn't have a problem, i'll just keep the oem bulbs in the glove box just incase.

Mine goes 4 its MOT soon so if it gets knocked im guna do the same as u, it only takes seconds & u can soon change em back ;)

I'm not sure there's a specific brightness that sidelights need to be. On my old car (non-Lex) one of the sidelights (conventional bulb) was very dim compared to the other, but it still passed the MoT ok.

Ordered some like Trudi's and they came this morning from Hong Kong and only 1 works, and yes I did turn it round and have also put it on a tester and it's fooked, gotta p :tsktsk: ssball about now sending them back

Hmmmmm E-Bay stuf from Hong Kong is always a bit of a gamble, plus u gotta wait double to

get the returned item back again.....

Should still be worth the wait tho bud :)

I got some of those LEDs that Trudi posted up too, and put them in yesterday. They're very slightly brighter than the inverted LEDs that I had in before, but not a lot in it.

The one that worked was much brighter than the led's in there at the mo, I didn't get mine from the same place in the end tho just got the same type.

I know what you mean Wozza, gotta wait for them to get my message, translate it, answer me, then i'll have to send them back and wait for the new one's, 2 weeks i'm guessing, b :tsktsk: ocks

New bulbs being sent out today, which is good, they said send the broken one's back when I get the new ones :)

Come today, work, so all is well again :D i've even put the old single LED's in my number plate lights ;)
