hi, how do you remove the obd2 cover to access the plug.

You pull it off. It feels like your going to break it but you won't. You may be best sticking your head into the drivers footwell with a torch.

it just pulls off mate, pull it downwards away from the socket and it'll hang there on a plastic tab so you dont lose it :)

Get a good look at it. Then pull it hard!

Just checking that you're looking at the "right" cover. Because I wasn't when I tried to find the OBDII connector.

It's the one right under the dash, it's not hard to get off. Initially I thought it was perhaps the blanked off connector that's low on the dash on the left (on my car, at least), and I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get the cover off

i was looking at the plate on the left (the vertical one)hand side which is not the obd socket.

have now found the right one.

yeh there's a little sensor behind the plate and looks like a glass ball behind it with wire coming out of it? i cleaned mine a few weeks ago as it was covered in lots of fluff and dust
