i never actually fitted another head unit in the car when i did the walk through, just did it because i was bored one day and i have the factory sat nav, I should of put that you can remove the amp in my topic as i did try it with an aftermarket headunit and the stereo still worked with the amp taken out, Plus its good to see my walk through being used :D

Am I reading this correctly, in that since I am replacing my OEM head unit with an aftermarket head unit, and therefore using the bypass lead (I have a Sport model), and I don't have OEM satnav, I might as well remove the OEM amp because it's not going to be used ?

I was going to use Aztec's walkthrough for plugging in the bypass lead, which involves removing the amp, so I didn't see much point putting it back in unless it was needed ! Another part to add to the spare parts box !
