Lexus Is 250 C - Convertable

Lexus are to show the new IS250 C at the paris motorshow.

Here is a small bit on the news pages about the IS 250 C

I think this is to replace the SC as i think (in my opinion) the SC will go out of production sooner or later

It really is time they brought out the convertible, is it really just an IS250 then or will the rest of the world get an IS350C as well?

I'm interested to see what they've done with the styling though, as the standard IS has quite a high shoulder which would look odd as a convertible, so I'm guessing they must have tweaked the design quite a bit

I'm gutted if there's no 350 though, that would be perfect.........with the roof mechanism and extra chassis strengthening, there's a good chance the 250 will be even slower than the saloon

That looks quite pretty, I like the sound of the IS350C, which will be released in the States next year, hope it comes here. And a boot that's big enough for a golf bag with the roof down, so some room for your I.C.E Wozza.

I've seen a few videos of the show and I'm not sure if I like the design, but I have not had a good enough look at it, but one thing is for sure the wheels need to be bigger and wider!!

I like the new rear light clusters shown at the end of the vid. Perhaps a good mod for UK standard IS2xx's ??

I don't actually like the back of the new convertible, I reckon that they should have made the rear smaller, and the tail-lights closer in form the the saloon. What are your thoughts?

Unsure about it, from the side with the roof up it looks out of proportion, a bit like the Focus CC does.

Yep that's why the rear end looks so bad, apparently it can fit either one or two sets of golf clubs in the boot (can't remember whether it's one or two) with the roof down
