Google have released their own browser called Chrome. I have downloaded it and is great.. basic but only has all you need, and its miles faster than FF.

It is destined to be the most used browser in the world. bye bye IE :)

I was very suprised by it.. it also has an "incognito mode" for Aido's pr0n! which makes safe from the wife :)

That looks pretty cool, will have to give that a go, cheers for that :)

Was actually thinking the other day, despite not really shouting about it much (which is the google way I guess), is the google OS for phones going to possibly be what the Iphone should have been........I'm quite looking forward to it as I think it'll be good :winky:

I've been having a try of Google Chrome too. It is a very good browser.

There was a bit of a **** storm on the web because of the EULA seeming to say they owned any content you posted through the browser, but that turned out to be a mistake and they changed it.

Only thing it's lacking is good adblocking software like Firefox's AdBlock Plus, that really comes in useful for me. Especially when I'm surfing the web at work and don't want big loud flashing adverts all over my screen!

Somehow I can't see Google Chrome having adblocking seeing as that's how Google make most of their money :)

i like abit more colour than the greys but everything fits much better than with IE7, especially this forum as the 3 drop down boxes (Lexus knowledge, etc ) on the main page usually can't be seen.... and the news headlines in the top right are better positioned as well ...

If there a spellcheck with google chrome? I find that handy with the google toolbar

Im on it now & my AOL seems realy slow now :crybaby:

I was going to check it out ....but my AOL is already so slow it's almost in reverse and it's on BB

I've been using Chrome for five days now. Previously I thought that Opera was the mutt's nuts (after using IE/Firefox/Safari), but Chrome is very good indeed and I'd recommend giving it a go.

AOL is the sperm of the Devil.

I quite like it, browsers only have to do a few things as far as I'm concerned, so they all do what I need but I like the way this uses the whole screen, the frequently used pages is useful as is the all in one address bar.

The incognito window is an interesting idea too, but I can't think of any purpose for it except for pr0n

I'm really looking forward to Google taking over everything as their products are simple, easy to use and somehow also incredibly good! Sort of like apple, without all the apple bo :tsktsk: cks!

Having used this a bit now, there are some really good features...........like the spell check that's like word (with the red squiggly underline), like how you can drag a tab out to create a new window, and like how popups are blocked but sit at the bottom, so if you wanted it you simply click on it and up it pops.

Can't wait to see what else I find :whistling:

No I don't, does firefox already have all this stuff?

I used firefox a while back but there were a few things that really annoyed me (can't for the life of me remember what they were) so went back to IE. So far nothing is annoying me about Chrome so it's all good :winky:

you should try it, Firefox 3 you'll like

The new IE was based (in my option) on the FF

Will have to give that a go too then, what advantages does Firefox have over Chrome?

Ok found the first thing that's annoying me, but think it's just me being dumb..........normally when you click a link in IE to a document (or similar), you get the popup of "Open", "Save" or "Cancel" whereas in GC it just goes straight to a save as dialog box..........is there a way I can have the option just to open the file?
