Scary Moment

My wife (who is chinese) called her mum (in china of course) on saturday. while she was on the phone her mum said something strange is happening, she could figure out why all the things on her shelf were moving. As she suffers from bad diabetes she thought she might be about to pass out or having a funny moment, but she didnt passout. After a few seconds it dawned on her that she was in fact in an earthquake. My poor wife was really upset as she could hear people in the apartment hallways screaming and panicking over the phone.

I wont forget the look on my wifes face and I am so glad nothing bad came out of it.

Apparently the next province along (sichuan province ) had tremors of 6.1 so they felt the shockwaves in Yunnan.

Anyway just thought i would share that scary moment.

was in a Walmart type place when it happened...dam crazy

i remember in 1978 when i was in scotland they had some tremors.. remember sitting in a wimpy burger joint watching the pictures on the wall shake... nothing too big but its the only tremor i have been in. Anyone from scotland remember that?

Damn that must have been scary, and to feel so powerless as well hearing all that through the phone........I'm glad it wasn't too serious.

i was telling my missus to get her mum to leg it out of there in a panick state, but their are apartments everywhere, and they are so tall... even outside there is simply no room to leg it as everything is close to each other. every time i go there always think "what if"
