Looking great Paul.

For some background:-

Trevor is a neighbour of Paul's, and in his spare time completely from scratch, he has hand built this fully-lifesized

R2-D2 replica. You don't realise the attention to detail, it really is incredible, and remember it is not from a kit.

Just imagine trying to even attempt such a task completely from scratch, with not pattern parts, not kits or moulds.

Sorry Baz , its my mates R2-D2 scale model all made by hand , Wozza wanted the updates on it as they come along , the guy who's making it is a real stickler for detail , this has taken 3 an a half years so far to get to this stage , he's also in the first stages of making another one so this one's sort of gone on the back burner but he will finish it . It makes the sounds and the lights do what they do on the films , its mustard mate . When its done it will be going to auction on E-bay .

Aaron, it has taken 3 years of spare time to get to that stage.....

In all honesty the attention to accuracy & detail is mind blowing, bearing in mind he is not a professional model maker :o

no kit there, measured everything to scale from large posters and other info for outer dimensions etc
