Hi,

Sorry for all the questions but it's a bit of a steep learning curve.

I'm interested in being able to talk to my car - ie. Is there a lead and some software out there for reading the OBD2 codes etc. (nb. I've never touched OBD before!)

Thanks

Mike

Don't spent too much on one, have played with mine on several occasions, mostly around the LPG installation phase to check fuel trims and lambda voltage and everything seems to run like clockwork, the Lexus electrics are renowned for there longevity so unless you get a dash light on you will be fine...

Spend some money on polish instead and make it shine :winky:

I got a lead off eBay for around £20.00, there is a wide range of software which will read the basic standard codes, it you want more info you would need dedicated software which will be very expensive if not impossible to get.

try to find a OBD11 forum there are some good sites with loads of information.
