My Cars Fixed

Recommended Posts

after having a major electrical fault with my car in which my lights were playing up its been in the garage since monday, the mechanic ive used has a very good reputation with vehical electrics and after finding various faults hes cracked it.the problems were a leak coming from somewhere which was finding its way into the drivers side fise box which overtime got so corroded it eventually i think fused is the word and melted 2 pins which shorted again further up into the theft warning unit causing the sidelights to stay on and headlights not to work with the key in the ignition but work with them out.

im picking the car up tomorrow lunchtime and now im happy and love my lexus again, best thing is its cost me 211quid instead of the 2500 lexus quoted,so ill now be able to go to the wim meet :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nice one Aaron :D did they find where it was leaking in mate?

not really but hes gonna have another look in the morning before he puts it all back together and maybe try an use something to try to keep the fuse board protected for the future, are you still ok to bring that stuff to the wim meet to help try and sealing the windscreen if we can find it

Got loads of the sika screen sealant mate, but could do with somewhere to warm it up as its very hard to use cold in a sealant gun but i'll bring it with me anyway matey so we can have a look? :D

edit: just thought i can leave a tube on my engine to warm it up for a bit when i get there
